The short version
Daily 8 is a $49/year (or £39/year) subscription with a 7-day free trial. You are not charged anything during the trial.
- Cancel any time before the end of day 7 — no charge, no obligation.
- On day 8 your subscription renews automatically at $49/£39 for one year. We email you 24 hours before the charge.
- UK consumers also have a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
- US consumers are protected by ROSCA and state automatic renewal laws (including California ARL): clear disclosure, express consent, and easy “click-to-cancel” apply.
- Cancel any time, one tap, from your profile / account page — not by email.
- Payments and refunds are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. Refunds go back to your original payment method through Lemon Squeezy.

How the 7-day free trial works
At signup you choose a language and confirm your WhatsApp number. We deliver your first lesson the next morning at approximately 8 AM in your local timezone, and continue daily for the next 7 days at no charge.
The trial ends at the start of day 8. On that day:
- If you have not cancelled, Lemon Squeezy (our Merchant of Record) charges your card $49 (USD) or £39 (GBP) for one year of access, plus any applicable sales tax / VAT / GST that Lemon Squeezy calculates and remits, and the paid subscription begins.
- If you cancelled at any point during the 7 days, no charge is taken and the daily messages stop.
We send a reminder email 24 hours before the first charge so day 8 is never a surprise. This pre-renewal reminder is part of our compliance with ROSCA and US state automatic renewal laws.

Auto-renewal — disclosure
Your subscription renews automatically. At the end of each annual term, Lemon Squeezy (our Merchant of Record) charges the payment method on file at the price then in effect, unless you cancel before the renewal date. We disclose this clearly at checkout, before you pay, and ask for your express consent to the recurring charge.
Before each renewal we send you a reminder email so you have time to cancel if you want to. You can cancel at any time — before the trial ends, before the first renewal, or before any subsequent renewal — using the methods in the next section.

How to cancel
Cancellation is at least as easy as signup. You do it from your profile:
- Sign in to your account.
- Open the “Subscription” section.
- Tap Cancel subscription — the upcoming charge stops immediately. We confirm on screen and by email.
You can keep reading any lessons already delivered during the trial — nothing gets pulled back.

UK · 14-day right of withdrawal
If you are resident in the United Kingdom, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The right runs from the day the contract is concluded (your signup date).
How this interacts with the free trial. Daily 8 is a service that starts delivering content during the 14-day cooling-off period. Under the Regulations, if you ask us to begin supplying the service immediately and expressly acknowledge that you will lose the right of withdrawal once the service is fully performed, we can charge you for what has already been supplied if you withdraw partway through.
In practice, because the first 7 days are free, you can exercise your withdrawal right at any time during the trial and pay nothing. If you exercise withdrawal after the first paid charge but within the 14-day window, we refund the annual fee in full, less a proportionate amount for the service already delivered (a few days of lessons).
To exercise the right of withdrawal, send an unambiguous statement to team.byzzle@gmail.com — a plain email saying you wish to withdraw is enough.

UK · Consumer Rights Act 2015
The digital content we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If it is not — for example if the lessons fail to deliver, are materially inaccurate, or do not match how Daily 8 was described at signup — you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund as the Act requires.
To raise a quality issue, email team.byzzle@gmail.com with the details. We will respond within one business day.

US · ROSCA and state auto-renewal laws
If you are resident in the United States, our subscription terms and cancellation flow are designed to comply with the Restore Online Shoppers' Confidence Act (ROSCA) and applicable state automatic renewal laws, including California's Automatic Renewal Law (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code §§ 17600 et seq., as amended by AB 390) and comparable laws in New York, Illinois, Oregon, and other states.
This means, in concrete terms:
- We disclose the recurring charge — amount, frequency, and cancellation method — clearly and conspicuously before you pay.
- We obtain your affirmative consent to the auto-renewal as a separate step at checkout.
- We send a written acknowledgement after signup confirming the auto-renewal terms and how to cancel.
- Cancellation is available online with the same number of steps as signup — the “click-to-cancel” standard.
US consumers are not entitled to a statutory 14-day withdrawal right of the UK type, but the 7-day free trial, discretionary refund situations below, and your state-specific consumer rights still apply.

Refunds after the trial — when they apply
We do not advertise a generic post-trial money-back guarantee — the free trial is the chance to decide. That said, we will refund in these situations:
- Billing errors — charged twice, charged the wrong amount, charged after a confirmed cancellation.
- Accidental purchases — a subscription started on the wrong account, or a gift sent to the wrong number.
- UK statutory withdrawal within the 14-day window (see section 5).
- UK Consumer Rights Act remedies where the digital content does not meet the statutory quality standard (see section 6).
- Discretionary refunds — for subscribers who reach out within the first 30 days after the first charge, genuinely dissatisfied, where we can see the service was tried in good faith. We approve these case-by-case.

Gifts
Gift subscriptions skip the free trial and are paid in full at purchase. The purchaser is the party to the contract and is the party entitled to a refund. The refund window for gifts is 14 days from purchase, provided the gift has not yet been activated by the recipient.
Recipients can switch the language or pause messages any time via WhatsApp.

When a refund will not be issued
Refunds are declined in the following limited situations:
- Refund requests outside the 7-day trial, outside the UK 14-day statutory withdrawal window, and outside the 30-day discretionary window, with no billing error or accidental purchase.
- Chargebacks initiated without prior contact with us — we will defend chargebacks that bypass the cancellation flow.
- Repeated trial-then-refund patterns across multiple subscriptions in quick succession (trial abuse).
None of these exclusions limits your non-waivable statutory rights as a UK or US consumer.
